Wellington County OPP charge driver after fail to remain Collision with Cyclist on Oct. 11th

As a result of the investigation a 28 year old female of West Grey Township has charges that include failing to remain at an accident resulting in bodily injury, careless driving causing injury, and failing to report an accident.

Wellington County OPP have charged one person following investigation into a collision involving a motor vehicle and cyclist on October 11, 2022.

Officers, along with Guelph Wellington Paramedics and local fire departments responded around 8:30 am on a report of an injured cyclist on Wellington Road 2 at Regency Drive in Minto Township.

It was determined they had been struck by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene of the collision.

The cyclist, a 21-year-old from Clifford was transported to a trauma centre by Air Ornge with serious injuries.

As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old female of West Grey Township has charges that include failing to remain at an accident resulting in bodily injury, careless driving causing injury, and failing to report an accident.
