Wellington North Denies Proposal to Operate Cannabis Facility in Arthur

Facility would have been located where illegal grow op was discovered

Wellington North council has denied CCR Holdings Wells Inc’s proposal to operate a cannabis facility in Arthur.

Council turned down rezoning the 5.14 acre property to allow indoor cultivation and processing of cannabis.

The building which would be purposed is located at 10 Wells Street West in Arthur which on June 4th was raided and over 7500 marijuana plants were seized valued at over $6 million after an illegal grow-op was discovered.

A license would have allowed up to 438 plants to be grown at the 17,000 square foot building if council had approved the application.
