Wellington County hospitals have updated their essential care partner and visitor guidelines in response to the growing Omicron COVID-19 variant.
As of today, Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Centre Wellington and North Wellington Health Care in Palmerston will require essential care partners to have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and show proof before entering a hospital.
At this time, social visitors will be not be allowed in hospitals.
There are some exceptions to the new rules in place and can be found online by visiting GMCH.ca or NWHealthCare.ca.
