Dr. Miriam Klassen Hopes to Keep COVID-19 Hospitalizations Low

Officials still working on adding more capacity to vaccine clinics

Medical Officer of Health for Huron-Perth, Dr. Miriam Klassen continues to ask residents to follow all public health guidelines to keep the area hospitals from being overwhelmed.

To date, only six across the region are in hospital from the virus and Dr. Klassen wishes to keep the number low.

She adds its still early to find out whether the Omicron variant causes less severe infections and it needs to be taken seriously and recommends those eligible to book their booster dose.

Officials with public health are still working to add more capacity to vaccination clinics and will have availability for online booking again soon.
