On December 28th at approximately 7 am the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of two suspicious persons that appeared to be looking into parked cars in the area of Park Street and Edgewood Street in Eden Mills.
It was reported that the two arrived in the area in a white pick-up truck. The truck was reported stolen out of Toronto.
A witness confronted the suspects who then fled on foot into a wooded area. Police set up containment and arrested two youths a short time later.
During the investigation police seized several credit cards.
Charged are a 16 and 14 year old youth from Toronto and they were charged wit multiple counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
The 16 year old was also charged with 2 counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The 16 year old was held for a Bail hearing and appeared at a Guelph Ontario Court.
The 14 year old is scheduled to appear in a Ontario Youth Court in Guelph on January 27th to answer to the charge.
