The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle collision which left one person with serious injuries.
Halton Regional Police Service attempted to stop a Chrysler 300 just after midnight on March 22nd but were unsuccessful.
When the driver entered Wellington County, OPP made an attempt to stop the vehicle when it left the roadway and entered a ditch on Wellington Road 18 and 4th Line.
Firefighters were called to the scene of the crash just before 2am.
SIU officials say the driver, a 43 year old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
