Single Vehicle Collision this morning leaves One Dead east of Harriston

The highway was closed during the investigation by the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team investigated the cause of the collision.

Wellington County OPP responded to the scene of a serious collision on Highway 89, east of Harriston this morning.

Police, along with Minto Fire and Guelph Wellington Paramedics responded to the scene just after 6 am.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Office of the Chief Coroner was notified.

The highway was closed during the investigation by the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team investigated the cause of the collision.

The road has reopened and reconstructionists continue to investigate.
