The Grey Bruce OPP report that one person has died as a result of a collision between a motor vehicle and cyclist earlier to day.
Officers, Guelph-Wellington Paramedics and Wellington North Fire responded to the scene at approximately 6:15 am this morning to a report of a collision between a vehicle and cyclist on Southgate Sideroad 49 in Southgate Township.
The cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene after lifesaving efforts proved were unsuccessful. Their identity is being withheld pending next of kin notifcations.
The Grey Bruce OPP are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
