A plate reader was able to notify officers of expired insurance, leading to charges against a 51 year old.
On May 27th at around 5:30pm, Wellington County OPP was on patrol on Tenth Line in Erin when the crusiers Automatic Licence Plate Recognition alerted officers of expired insurance.
As a result a 51 year old was charged with Operating Without Insurance, Failure to Notify Change of Address and Driving with no Validated Permit.
The accused will appear in court in September.
