Perth County OPP are reminding residents to be careful of frauds and scams.
Perth County OPP received a call from a concerned citizen on October 31st saying their credit card had been compromised. The victim gave their credit card information to the caller before realizing they had been scammed. The result was the lose of $9500 on the victims credit card before the card was canceled.
OPP want to remind residents to not share their personal information over the phone or email, not to be bullied into giving out personal information and avoid the “too good to be true” offers from callers or emails.
