Ontario Hiring More Driving Examiners

New examiners to keep up with the long waiting list

If you’ve been trying to book a drive test you may have had to deal with a long wait list, that’s going to change.

The Ontario Government announced Monday the addition of driving examiners to ease the huge backlog of road tests in the province. DriveTest will hire 130 temporary examiners for testing in December. The current backlog of tests is estimated at 350,000 as a result of COVID-19 pushbacks.

Perth-Wellington MPP, Randy Pettapiece says this matter is especially important for us in small towns and rural areas where driving is almost essential.
