The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Base Line in Central Huron this past Saturday afternoon at around 2pm.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a 2-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a van on Base Line between Lobb Road and Dutch Line.
All 4 occupants of the van were transported to hospital with one occupant, a 38-year female of Exeter, later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the van remains in hospital with serious injuries and the other two occupants sustained minor injuries as did the driver, and sole occupant, of the pickup truck.
The investigation remains ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist.
Base Line was closed for several hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene, but it has since re-opened.
