Wellington County OPP have laid a racing charge against a 17 year old from Elora.
An OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 in Guelph-Eramosa Township on November 22nd around 2:30am when the officer spotted a black passenger van heading southbound.
The van was traveling well above the posted 8km/hr limit at an excess of 135km. As a result, a 17 year old from Elora has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle and license were seized for seven days.
The accused will appear in court in Guelph on May 5th 2021.
