North Huron approves 2021 budget with 3.47% increase

Tax increase will see on average $24-70 more per year on residents

 

The North Huron Council has passed their 2021 budget and residents in the area will see a 3.47% percent increase in the municipal portion of taxes.

This means on avarerage assessments an increase of just under $24 in Wingham, just under $48 in Blyth and just over $70 in East Wawanosh.

Big ticket items in this years budget include a new sand and salt shed in Blyth at $266,000, $352,000 for renovations to the arena in Wingham and $400,000 dollars on a waste water dechlorination project in Blyth.
