UGDSB Preparing for Third Wave and Containing COVID-19 Spread in Schools

School officials believe current measures aren't enough to protect staff and students

 

As new strains of COVID-19 are sweeping across the province the Upper Grand District School Board is preparing to deal with the new strains and the risk of a third wave.

School board officials believe their current precautions are not enough to protect against the newer strains of COVID-19. New measures such as reduced class sizes for kindergarten and junior kindergarten.

The school board has written to the ministry of education and requested the governments plan when it comes to reducing class sizes, PPE and the plan should the new variants become out of control in Ontario.
