Many businesses have had to close their doors temporarily due to issues brought on by the pandemic. All three homeless shelters in Wellington County had to make that closure as well.
As a way to better combat the homeless issue, the County announced the opening of the Loyola House Supportive Temporary Accommodation Pilot. This better helps the homeless in the County with a safe place to stay temporarily as we inch closer to colder weather.
This new model approach of an emergency shelter will provide 24/7 access for those needing a safe place to stay with on-site health care support.
