The Minto Fire Department took to social media this afternoon to remind residents that burning of brush and garbage is prohibited in urban areas.
They add that rural residents require a burn permit to burn brush piles.
The permits are free and can be obtained by calling the Town of Minto Municipal Office at 519-338-2511.
