After having just been elected as MPP for Perth-Wellington, Matt Rae is taking on an additional duty for the Ford government as a Parliamentary Assistant.
Rae will work alongside the MPP for Ajax as a Parliamentary Assistant for Education Minster Stephen Lecce.
Rae says its an honour to work with the minister and take on the new role while addressing the concerns for those in the riding.
Rae says the experience he brings in education will prove useful.
“Prior to the election, I worked for an education company called Shad Canada. They are a non-profit and they run STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programming for high school students during the summer months.” said Rae.
Rae continues to look forward to get into legislature in his caucus and across the isle.
Premier Ford has said he will recall legislature in a rare summer sitting.
