HOPE Links Launched in North Perth

HOPE Links Centres also available in Stratford and Exeter

Listowel’s Salvation Army alongside United Way Perth-Huron have officially launched HOPE Links within the community.

HOPE Links provides much needed support to vulnerable people within the community.

Located at 295 Main Street West in Listowel, where the Christ Anglican Church is, allows those in need to visit and connect with basic needs such as meals, a shower and use of laundry as well as building social ties and trust with volunteers, staff and additional social services.

Gwyneth Woods, Salvation Army Community & Family Services Manager says the goal for HOPE Links is to connect those in need and to grow.

“We want people to feel like they have a place in the community, a place where they can connect and a place where they can get connected within the larger community for their own forward movement and growth” said Woods.

HOPE Links centres are also across the area with locations in Stratford and Exeter with the Northern Huron Connection Centre in Wingham set to open in the fall.
