Mapleton council has approved to use the remaining of its 2021 50/50 fund to cover almost half of the cost of ice board dividers for Drayton Minor Hockey.
The hockey club applied for cost sharing of the dividers for a total cost of $9492 as well as small nets for $3051.
Council approved $4500, which was the remainder of the 2021 funding.
Every year Mapleton sets aside $20,000 for their 50/50 fund with applications received every year.
Approved projects receive half of the cost covered by the township up to a maximum of $5000.
