It’s been several months now since HOPE Links was launched in North Perth.

HOPE Links is offered at Christ Anglican Church in Listowel which kicked off in late June allows those in need to access basic services such as meals, use of laundry, take a shower and build social ties and trust with volunteers, staff and social services.

Gwyneth Woods Salvation Army Community & Family Services Manager says HOPE Links is more than just for someone who doesn’t have shelter.

“Maybe you have a place to stay but don’t have access to laundry or running water or your heat isn’t working. There is all sorts of scenarios we see come through those doors” said Woods.

HOPE Links centres are also across the area with locations in Stratford and Exeter with the Northern Huron Connection Centre in Wingham opening their doors recently.
