The Harriston Lions Medical Community Centre is adding an additional 1150 square feet of space to help accommodate two physicians, a reception area, nursing station and a waiting, procedure and exam room.
The Town of Minto owns the facility through shares in the Minto Municipal Services Corporation with several councilors sitting on the board.
Currently a dentist and chiropractor are using the building on residential zoned land on 16 John Street North.
Given the building’s age its continued medical use is allowed under legal non-conforming use.
