The cost of proposed new Drayton water tower has seen a jump in cost due to impact of the pandemic on material pricing.
A report brought to Mapleton council has recommended to award the contract to Landmark Structure Co at a cost of $6.5 million. This is a jump from the previous estimate from last year which was around $4 million.
Construction prices have seen a jump from the impact of the pandemic. A growing population has proven the need for an increase of water supply in Drayton.
Mapleton council will make a decision on the recommendation tomorrow.
