With today being Holocaust Remembrance Day, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thomson shared a message saying it’s a chance to take a moment, reflect, learn and remember the 6 million victims of the holocaust.
She says that we stand together in support of Ontario’s Jewish community.
Perth-Wellington MP Matthew Rae echoed similar sentiment in his post on social media to commemorate the day.
The day of remembrance was chosen because on January 27th, 1945 the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army.
