Area MPP’s Mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day today

With today being Holocaust Remembrance Day, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thomson shared a message saying it’s a chance to take a  moment, reflect, learn and remember the 6 million victims of the holocaust.

She says that we stand together in support of Ontario’s Jewish community.

Perth-Wellington MP Matthew Rae echoed similar sentiment in his post on social media to commemorate the day.

The day of remembrance was chosen because on January 27^th, 1945 the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army.
