There is a burn ban in effect across Huron County.
As of August 5th, a countywide open air fire ban has been put in place in every municipality in Huron County which prohibits all open air burning including brush, yard waste and burn barrels as well as agricultural and industrial burning.
Campfires are permitted but must be fully extinguished after use.
The ban has been put in place given the dry conditions and increased wildfire risk and will remain in effect until further notice.
