Centre Wellington will be running a 40km an hour Neighbourhood Pilot Program in Elora.
This program follows the townships Speed Limit Policy and Technical Approach for assessing speeding concerns and implementing effective speed reduction measures in urban and rural areas.
The pilot will cover the York Street East neighbourhood from Waterloo Street to Bridge Street.
York Street East was chosen as an area of concern by residents who have reported that area on the townships “Report It” speed concern portal.
Signage is up on York Street East to inform residents about the change with the new speed limit signs expected either in May or June.
