Emergency services responded to reports of a 4 vehicle collision on Line 86 near Powell Road in Wellesley Township Monday night just before 6:30.
Investigation revealed a Dodge Ram pickup was traveling west towards Listowel when its front passenger wheel detached, causing the driver to lose control and cross the center line, striking a Honda traveling east.
The dodge then was forced back into the east lane and struck a Chevorlet. The detached tire traveled and struck a fourth vehicle.
The female driver of the Honda was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.
The 22 year old Dodge driver was charged with Operating an Unsafe Vehicle.
