Stratford-Perth Humane Society Launches Centre Advancement Campaign

Goal to raise $100,000 for medical equipment upgrades and onsite dog park

The call is on from the Stratford Perth-Humane Society as they have launched a Centre Advancement Campaign to raise $100,000 for medical equipment and to build and improve an onsite dog park for the shelter dogs.

Director of Development for the humane society, Nick Burke says there isn’t much room at the Stratford shelter for dogs to get proper exercise and it needs to change.

“We noticed that there was no space for dogs to safely to run and exercise while spending time with us, waiting to be adopted.” said Burke.

$51,500 is estimated for the onsite park, $43,000 for an X-Ray machine with dental imagining capabilities and $5,500 for a Cautery Unit.
