16 Year Old Struck by Car in Clinton, Driver Fails to Remain

19 year old to appear in court in February

 

Just before noon on Monday, Huron County OPP and paramedics responded to a vehicle striking a pedestrian located on Ontario Street near Smith Street North in Clinton.

Upon arrival first responders located the injured pedestrian on the roadway who was struck by an eastbound car but there was no sign of the driver.

The injured 16 year old from Huron East was transported to hospital where he continues to receive care for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver eventually visit the Huron OPP detachment where she was arrested and charged.

A 19 year old from Central Huron was charged with Fail to Remain, Driving Under Suspension and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance.

The accused was released from custody with a court appearance in February.
