Minto 2022 Tax Levy Increase of 2.2 Per Cent

Capital budget meeting to be held later today

 

The Town of Minto is seeing a projection tax rate increase of under 1 per cent in next years budget.

Minto Treasurer Gordon Duff broke down some numbers in a recent budget meeting which has current projections for 2022’s draft budget see a 2.2 increase in the local tax levy.

Duff also see’s a tax rate increase at 0.85 per cent which would just be over $11 of the average residential home assessment of $242,000.

Minto’s capital budget will be discussed later today which includes a $2.4 million renovation to the Palmerston arena and community centre, $105,000 for industrial development projects in Harriston and upgrades to Clifford Celebration Square.
