The Wingham Terry Fox Run will go across just about every community across Canada on Sunday and Wingham will not exception as they mark 39 years.
Over those years, teams, individuals and the public have been able to rally in a total of $713,955.45 towards Cancer Research for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Dave Read, a prostate cancer survivor has been part in over 30 Terry Fox Runs in Wingham who says its been inspiring to see the funds raised as its always needed to fight cancer.
“The only thing that is going to help is research and unfortunately scientific research is very expensive. That is the future for less suffering and fewer early deaths” said Read.
The Wingham Terry Fox Run goes Sunday from 11am-1pm.
Those not able to attend can still directly support a team or individual with donations.
Wingham has set a goal to bring in $28,900.
