Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home in Fergus has declared an outbreak after 1 resident and 1 staff have tested positive for Covid-19.
The two have been isolated and the home has now been placed in outbreak status. It is set to remain in place until at least January 4th or until decided by Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health.
The resident had mild symptoms and is currently stable the home says.
Results as to whether it is the Omicron variant are still pending.
The home says all protocols from Public Health are being followed and all families of Wellington Terrance residents have been notified of the situation.
