Wellington North is now going to ensure food trucks are licensed through the township.
Staff will be requesting the chamber of commerce to ensure vendors who take part in various events, including the Mount Forest Fireworks festival are in compliance with the licensing requirement.
With the $100 annual license fee requirement, the township estimates an additional $800 in licensing revenue.
Service clubs and non for profit groups operating food stands will be exempt from the licensing fee however will still need a license by showing proof of fire suppression, insurance, drivers license and health inspection.
