Wellington North Power shared some tips to area residents and beyond on holiday safety tips.
They share a link to the Electrical Safety Authority’s advisory that electrical products in Ontario must be approved by an accredited certification agency.
They add to only purchase electrical products from reputable sources and retail outlets.
They also say to check things such as fine details of product information, typos that may be a sign of a cheap or counterfeit product and to report unsafe or uncertified electrical products to the ESA.
