Wellington North is one step closer to approving the 2022 budget which is looking at 2.5% levy increase.
The capital budget for next year is set at $15.19 million which is up slightly from 2021’s $15.11 million but down from 2020’s $18.9 million.
Township staff are proposing a 4.86% operating budget increase.
Many councilors have called for a lesser levy to at least 2% which would raise property tax bills to an average of $1277 for a single family, an increase of $25 over this year’s average of $1252.
