Wellington County will study the use of automated speed enforcement in school and Community Safety Zones.
First proposed by Mapleton Mayor Gregg Davidson earlier this month the hope is to address issues with speeding around school zones as well as the safety zones which the use of automated enforcement has been done in various communities.
The approval works out well following the county’s Master Roads Action Plan which created nine Community Safety Zones where speeding and traffic has been a concern.
