Fire departments across Wellington County have declared a partial fire ban.
Departments in Minto, Wellington North, Mapleton, Erin, Puslinch, Centre Wellington and Guelph/Eramosa have all rolled out the ban due to extreme dry conditions.
No burning will be permitted outside of recreational cooking fires until the ban is lifted.
Fires prohibited include agricultural burns, brush pile and any other burning unrelated to recreational cooking or camp fires.
Fines are in place to enforce the ban when required.
