The Road Master Action Plan in Wellington County has shown residents are mostly concerned about speed and safety concerns on county roads.
The Road Master Action Plan opened in January for residents to provide input comments on the roads, but not provincial or municipal roads. Most residents responded citing speeding issues and safety concerns suggesting improvements on intersections.
Suggestions on the report do not entirely say to lower speed limits. The strongest influence of a drivers speed is on physical appearance of the road and not posted speed limits according to report notes.
Updates are coming with the action plan with the study expected to be finalized in the fall.
