Wellington County council has purchased 7.2 acres of land located adjacent to the current Brucedale Garage site on Wellington Road 124.
The acquisition of the land will allow the County to rebuild and expand the Brucedale Garage site and meet the needs for the future.
With the purchase, the county plans to rebuild both the Brucedale and Erin garages at their current sites on Wellington Road 124.
Roads Committee Chair, Gregg Davidson says the future expansion of the Brucedale Garage will upgrade the facility and service the growing needs of the community.
Over the next ten years the county has plans to make a significant investment in roads capital infrastructure and public works facilities.
The investment includes $35.1 million for facility upgrades in Harriston, Erin, Brucedale and Aberfoyle and $274.9 million for roads, bridges and culverts.
