The Wellington County OPP announced that beginning this month the Wellington County OPP is taking aim at improving public safety and creating efficiencies for drivers involved in property damage collisions they are introducing a local Collision Reporting Centre in Fergus.
The Reporting Centre is located at the Centre Wellington operations centre at 371 Charles Allen Way in Fergus. The CRC is open Monday to Wednesday 8 until 4 and Thursday and Friday between 10 am and 6pm.
The objective of the centre is to provide a convenient, quick and safe way to report collisions when they don’t involve serious injuries or property damage beyond the involved vehicles.
Drivers still must exchange information including identification, vehicle information and insurance details. If the combined damage of the collision exceeds an estimated $2,000 it is required to be reported to police.
You must also report any collision that results in injuries or causes property damaged beyond the vehicles.
