The Wellington County OPP say that on March 12th officers responded to numerous reported collisions.

Factors such as high winds and blowing snow caused the OPP to caution drivers about travelling in Wellington North, Minto and Mapleton Township. A road closure of Highway 6 from Fergus to Mount Forest was also put into place.

Officers responded to 32 motor vehicle collisions. The number of reportable and non-reportable collisions are expected to increase as many drivers opt to report the collision to the Reporting Centre.

Anyone wishing to report a non-serious collision may visit the Fergus OPP Operations Centre at 371 Charles Allan Way.
