Wellington County OPP are now the highest paid police force in the province.
OPP have ratified a four year collective agreement with the contract running from January 1st 2023-December 2026 with the first two years being retroactive.
The Ontario Provincial Police Association, the union representing OPP officers says the first year of the contract sees a 4.75 per cent pay increase, 2024 is a 4.5 per cent increase with officers getting a 2.75 per cent increase in both 2025 and 2026.
OPPA President John Cerasuolo in a release says our own police officers and civilian members work tirelessly to serve and protect the citizens of Ontario each and everyday, often putting their own lives at risk and their members deserve to be the top paid police in Ontario.
