To honour Remembrance Day, more than 500 memorial markers will be placed at the front lawn of the Wellington County Museum and Archives.

This is one of many events to take place next month. Each marker will bear a name, honouring Wellington County’s fallen from the World War I, World War II, Korea and Afghanistan.

On November 3rd at the Museum at 10:30am, Royal Canadian legion Members will read the names of each of the fallen with a ceremony to take place outdoors on the front lawn.

On November 10th at 5:30pm, a remembrance candle will be placed at each marker and will remain lit until November 12th.

A database of Wellington County’s fallen is available from the county website.
