Despite things going well in Wellington County against COVID-19, council is not changing attitude.

The Mayors of the various communities of Wellington County have had shared discussions on the existing local state of emergency and they all think it should stay in place until the majority of people living in the area are vaccinated.

This statement from the Mayor of Mapleton Township Gregg Davidson  from the March 16th Council meeting. The group sees taking the conservative approach and keeping the local state of emergency in place for a few more months.

The local emergency declaration has been in effect since March 23rd of last year.
