At the March 25th Wellington County Council meeting they approved $20,000 from the County’s Business Retention and Expansion Municipal Implementation Fund to assist Minto with running their LaunchIt Business Exploration Centre located in Harriston.
They provide support for businesses and entrepreneurs in the Communities that make up the Town of Minto (Clifford, Harriston, Palmerston and the Township). They also work with Partners in Guelph Wellington, Saugeen, Wellington Waterloo and Guelph.
The facility is a central resource centre for such things as mentoring, networking with other new and existing businesses owners, training, office space rentals and other resources to assist businesses.
The Centre has assisted over 5600 people since opening in June of 2014.
