Following the recent provincial announcement of rapid antigen screening made available for schools and registered childcare settings, local health units are accepting to participate in the program.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will be taking part in the program with planning currently underway.
In a release, Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Nicola Mercer says the program adds another local tool to fight the pandemic.
Public health will use available health data to identify which schools and childcare centres would be the most appropriate settings for rapid testing based on factors within the facility and community.
