Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health officials say the COVID-19 vaccine for youth aged six months to five years will start to arrive within the area this week.
The Moderna vaccine has been approved for use on the age group, which will be administered by primary care providers and in select pharmacies.
The vaccine includes a two dose primary series of 25 micro-grams each, half of the dose given to children 6-11 and one quarter of the dose for those 12 years and older.
Booking for the vaccine for children six months to five years will only be available by phone as public health will not take online booking for the age group.
