Wanted South Bruce Man Resists Arrest

Accused to appear in Goderich court

A South Bruce resident who was wanted by police has been taken into custody after resisting arrest.

On Tuesday May 31st at around 3:30pm, members of Huron County OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit were on patrol in Wingham when they found a wanted person walking on Leopold Street.

Officers followed the person to an apartment complex on Minnie Street.

Upon officers telling the man we was under arrest, he took off running.

Upon catching up with the suspect, he again resisted and attempted to flee until officers gained control and he was taken into custody.

A 36 year old from South Bruce has been charged with Resisting Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine and Cocaine.

The accused has since been released from custody and will appear in court on June 27th in Goderich.
