Walkerton is getting a McDonalds.
The Municipality of Brockton and project developer Edificio have made progress on a new food, retail and fuel development station at 2 Ontario Road.
The project will feature a four pump gas bar, a 2000sq foot MacEwen convenience store and 5900 square foot McDonalds.
Mayor Chris Peabody says by expanding access to essential services and strengthening our commercial base, we are supporting residents and local businesses while building long term economic resilience.
It’s expected the site will open either late summer or early fall and will create about 15 part time and full time jobs with construction also supporting local trades and suppliers throughout the build.
